Becca is a key member of Blizzard Entertainment's Cinematics department working as a Cloth/Hair TD. She principally works on hair and cloth simulations, as well as developing hair grooms for characters in game cinematics.
Becca initially went to college to study Computer Science with a goal of becoming a video game programmer. Programming was fun and challenging, but after two years she realized that she was spending more of her time learning and having fun with 3D art. Realizing that she had more love for digital art, Becca moved on to Savannah College of Art and Design to complete her Bachelor's Degree in 3D Art.
Becca worked with the team at Blur Studio as the lone Hair TD for almost four years. She was responsible for taking the studio's pipeline from one where hair was a dreaded part of the show to one where it was seamlessly integrated with shots. Becca worked with the modeling department to create the characters’ hair grooms, and also took responsibility for creating all of the simulations using cloth. In doing so she became a master in making hair look as realistic as possible while working to extremely tight time deadlines.
Becca also worked at Digital Domain where she helped the Tron Legacy team with hair simulations at the end of the project, and then to Blizzard Entertainment.
“ So much effort and content was packed into each set of classes and having hardly touched CG hair before, the pace was perfect. ”
“ I am now confident to tackle any hairstyle and it's all thanks to Becca. She is very encouraging and her tutorials are full of invaluable information they are simply amazing. I highly recommend this class... ”
